Reiki is a universal energy that permeates all life. It is a safe, gentle, non-intrusive hands-on healing technique which uses spiritual energy to balance our energy systems so that we may lead more fulfilling lives. It is a holistic system for balancing, healing and harmonising all aspects of the person - mind, body, emotions and spirit.  It can also be used to encourage spiritual awareness and growth. There are two basic ways of treating with Reiki energy, one is the hand on method and the other is through distance healing.

When a Reiki practitioner channels Reiki energy through their hands to the client or recipient, it activates the body’s natural ability to heal itself. The recipient lies on a treatment bench fully clothed and the practitioner lays their hands in a series of hand positions on the head, torso, legs and arms, sometimes hovering rather than touching. Each hand position is held for a few minutes whilst energy called “chi” is channelled through the practitioner into the recipient. Some clients feel deep relaxation; heat from the practitioner’s hands; tingling or floating. Some may feel or experience nothing. Everyone is different. Reiki works effectively alongside orthodox healthcare and natural remedies, however, it should under no circumstances, be a replacement for Western medicine, healthcare and treatments.

What happens during a Reiki session?: Allow yourself time to arrive without rushing as this will allow you to be more receptive to the Reiki energy and will give the energy the space to work its magic. A Reiki session will last approximately one hour and 15 minutes. This will include a 45 minute Reiki treatment and time to discuss any relevant issues or concerns both before and after your reiki treatment.. Please allow longer for the first session as it may be beneficial to take a case history especially if you are attending for a specific reason. Usually treatment is given lying down on a Reiki bench as this is more relaxing. However, treatment may be administered in a chair, on the floor, in a wheelchair or in someone’s bed. You will not be required to remove your clothes to receive Reiki. However, for your comfort you will need to remove your overcoat and shoes and also remove anything that might cause restriction such as eye glasses, belts, ties, jewellery and watches. It is advisable not to eat a heavy meal before or just after treatment.

During the treatment one may experience feelings of warmth, heat, coolness, cold, tingling, pressure, a sensation of heaviness or lightness. You may jerk and twitch as energy moves through your body. This is the Reiki working. If you experience no sensations, this is simply because you are not, at that time, sensitive to feeling the Reiki energy even though it is still working. Your sensitivity can vary from treatment to treatment depending on how you are feeling and your stress levels. If you experience nothing else, you will probably feel relaxed and at peace. For best results regular treatments are recommended.

Holy Fire® Reiki is a new form of Reiki that was introduced by the International Centre for Reiki Training, of which Luisa is a registered member. It is both powerful and gentle and provides purification, healing, empowerment and guidance. It can also be included as part of Usui Reiki healing sessions. This style of Reiki has unlimited potential in terms of healing and the development of one’s spiritual nature. It works with one’s Spirit and, therefore, can develop higher levels of consciousness. It can help foster peace, compassion, love, joy and forgiveness, and helps to create a tremendous feeling of freedom and happiness.  Karuna is translated to mean any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others and could be translated as “compassionate action”. During these healing sessions the symbols used are extremely powerful and effective.

Holy Fire III World Peace Karuna® Reiki Healing

The World Peace Reiki energy is provided for individual healing in a new Holy Fire® Experience called Empowered by the River of Peace. This Experience is similar to the Empowered by the River of Life Experience but upgraded to embody the World Peace energy. This Holy Fire World Peace Karuna Reiki® energy has all the qualities of the Holy Fire® III energy and includes a higher vibration that actively creates feelings of peace and calm within each person.
