The Role of the Priestess

The Role of the Priestess

When one asks this question, it is often difficult to answer because much of the work of the Priestess is done in the Ether and not in the physical world.  Being a Priestess is a state of mind and state of holy consciousness. You just are…. And always will be….

Service to other women is one of my favourites, because it allows the Divine Feminine to come together in communion and grace. She always honors the Goddess within. To support and nurture one another is to really embrace the goddess within and use the energies of spirit for the highest good of all. As women we are taught from a young age to compete with each other for the attention of others; to be seen and not heard; to be a ‘good girl’ and be ‘nice’. This shuts us down and limits our ability to love freely and honestly, and to speak our own truth with conviction.

A Priestess is always devoted to love and compassion, but  she is at the same time always conscious and  aware of the darkness that she carries within. She is able to use this darkness to help her on her healing journey of self discovery and light. She will have her ‘ups and downs’ and knows her own limits and potential. She is able to carefully balance the dark and light within heart and mind. A Priestess is always in love with herself and loves unconditionally.

She is devoted to self-healing and spiritual growth. A Priestess is wise enough to know what she needs and if she does not, she knows where to look. She knows that to heal others is to heal herself. However, she is always grounded and knows that self sacrifice is something that never serves her or anyone else. Sacrifice is an illusion of the ego.

A Priestess is in love with and at one with nature and all things cosmic. She is like a tree that  reaches deep down into the Earth with her roots but also stretches up to the heavens and cosmos above her. Because of this she is able to find a perfect balance between heart and mind, below and above. She lives in harmony and flow with her natural cycles and the cycles of Mother Nature. She accepts the highs and lows, death and rebirth as an essential part of her spiritual evolution.

As a natural space holder, she is able to stand her ground and share with others parts of herself that make her strong and powerful. She shares her wisdom freely and passionately, always speaking her own truth and respecting the truth of others. She has the wisdom to know when to speak her mind and when to hold her tongue.  She makes rituals a part of her life even in the smallest of ways.

A Priestess is highly intuitive and sensitive. She connects to Spirit effortlessly, because she knows that she is always connected and surrounded by the Spirit World. She knows that she is part of Spirit and that Spirit is unquestionably part of her. They are one and the same. Because of this she never feels superior to others and always respects the journey that they choose. She respects free will unreservedly.
